I told Bennie to hold , but no! He had to cut another quarter point…and I guess the markets did not like it…a 190 point drop in the Dow after the announcement. And the Feds did not stiffen up their language about holding the rate. Oh well, shit happens
Can’t say any of the indexes were able to hold in the green. Volume really busted out at 2:15 and now we’ll just have to see how the oversea markets take the news.
Played two today: (XRM) (DVAX). Neither did anything.
another indecisive day with the Dow and S&P down a smidgen and the Nasdaq up an even smaller smidgen with a smidgen more volume than yesterday. Didn’t trade any…didn’t do much at all (as you can tell from my previous entry). But tomorrow is the day…volatility expected with the wildest ride in the last 100 minutes of the day.
Get ready, strap in. Maybe, just maybe, the Fed will show us their kahoonas and not change the Fed rate at all. Let’s see…

Took a long lunch and now I’ll go see if there’s any beer in the ‘fridge…..nope. Got to run out now. Be back before the close
That’s about all to do, except for watching the grass grow or the paint to dry. We are teetering, swinging gentley and slowly, side to side, waiting for 2:15PM EDST Wednesday when the Fed tells us they are cutting another quarter point before they stop …or maybe they will take the high road and say they are done. We can wait another day and a half, but we do have a whole bunch of earnings reports tomorrow that has just got to put some waves into the market. Doji’s all around for the markets today on very low volume…and I expect the same for Tuesday.
Some indiviudal winners: (NURO) (SYNM) (MVIS) (XRM) and losers: (SIGA) (STEM).

…a great day in the market…for me anyway. Tagged a lot of winners today: (CAR) (HYTM) (PGNX) (XRM) and (DCR). It started lousy with some bad reports in housing and durable goods, but some good earnings reports and a great performance by the U.S. Dollar (USD) set off the rise in the stock market. Volume did start to creep up all the way to average
The Nasdaq continued its strong move with (AAPL) moving up and (GOOG) having a pretty wild ride, although ending in the red. And that VIX is pretty low, bullish. This exciting week comes to an end tomorrow, so it may be time to take the profits and run. This should be interesting….happy trading
But this time with a few winners in my pocket (FCEL) (ANAD) (STEM) (HYTM). The market had some good earnings this morning, but the after hours reports were less than enthusiastic. We’ll see how tomorrow pans out. The Nasdaq had a strong day but can we continue with those (AAPL) and (AMZN) earnings. Volume was up a bit, but still below average. C’mon everybody….BUY!
Tomorrow we have the biggest quantity of earnings in one day…in the biggest week of earnings. Good for that, because we don’t have any economic news.

That sucked. A triple digit down day, my watchlist went red, and still low volume…although that is good since it was a down day. Going chart scanning….later

Watched it all day….really low volume today. A very unexciting day. Didn’t buy or sell anything. Hopefully the charts will portend a more exciting day tomorrow. What else to say? Nothing. See ya later
…what will this week show? It’s been a while since the Indexes closed above its 100 day moving average, so we may be getting into exciting times. If we give all of last week back, well, its back to the same old, same old. There are some gap ups last week that need to be filled…eventually. We’re not too far from the 200 day moving average, so I believe upside may be limited, but should give us a few days of upward bias.
I’m still watching the same stocks from last week and adding LNET.
Happy Trading y’all

Two big up days in one week…yeah baby! The Nasdaq and Qs had a big gap up …which held and the Dow and SP500 had nice big candles on increasing volume. Some profit taking at the end of the day, but for an option expiration Friday, it was a great ending!
My plays: I dumped COCO and OPWV early for a gain and got out of KNOT at the 50 ma for 15%. My watchlist from yesterday were all doji’s, but I am holding HYTM over the weekend, along with SSCC and SIGA. Over all a very good week. I hope you had a good one as well
While 4 of 5 yesterday’s picks are still on the grill, here are a few more I’m going to watch today. Today should at least start like gangbusters, but it is options expiration so we should see a lot of unloading today. Happy Trading.
CIT DIVX HYTM STXS
The indexes didn’t do much, but the stocks I picked last night were up 4 out of 5. I really thought IBM and EBAY would at least help the tech sector….but no, they didn’t do much for the market and EBAY couldn’t even help itself. And the jobless claims report was a downer. Volume was lagging all day long, but really perked up in the last hour. Dojis all around.
Stocks….EPEX was my only loser, but OPWV, KNOT, SSCC and COCO were winners….I’m holding overnight….and hoping
