Thank you NY Giants for clearing up this whole stock market thing.
When a team from the original NFL (like the Giants) wins the Super Bowl, the market goes up. When a team from the old AFL wins (like the New England Patriots), the Dow goes down. It’s called the Super Bowl Stock Indicator.
The futures don’t confirm this indicator this morning, but we still have another 11 months to see. The U.S. markets are looking for a mediocre to slightly down open…which many times translates to an up day.
